Hello. Ripper, bunny C and ccblazerI'm not putting down ccblazer, just giving some constructive criticism of the info presented. For the sake of beginners who don't understand the process, that's how it works. This is the newbie section and that's what we're here for, to try to help them get it right.Ripit4me incorporates DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter and FixVTS in doing a DVD backup. The first part of the process is decryption and removing the copy protection, along with processing for compliance as needed. There RI4M uses DVD Decrypter and creates PSL files for doing the processing. Then RI4M cleans up the IFOs and uses FixVTS to process for compliance as needed. Since Saw 3 was more difficult it set off warnings and the program would stop with a warning. Clicking OK continues the process and the program completes successfully. Once the quick analysis is done to check the files for compliance in Shrink, the files can be transcoded in Shrink or processed in another program. For the official guide and "how to" here's the link to the RI4M site and guide. Like I mentioned DVDFab Decrypter which decrypts and removes copy protection was just recently updated especially for the Saw3 release. Rip with the latest DVDFab Decrypter and process with the transcoder or encoder of choice.Step 2 and 3 of the guide needs work. When the software opens in Shrink it's for the purpose of checking compliance. At that point the files should be run through FixVTS if not already done. Paschal93 showed the log for this one in the "big" Saw 3 thread here in the Shrink forum. So, it's already been proven that RI4M correctly processes the Saw 3 files. Step 3 is just abandoning one software for another. So the part about opening in RI4M was unnecessary unless just saying it didn't work and DVDFab Decrypter was selected instead. 20 Jan 2007 @ 7:54
